What’s up with that holiday card anyway?

So, here you are in the 2019-2020 holiday season, and you get a card from Bennett and Lorraina, and it looks like this:

So, here’s the story behind the card:

Bennett had an idea for a holiday letter, so he asked Lorraina. “What if we did a holiday letter in the form of a letter to the shareholders?”

“You mean like the Roys?” Lorraina asked.

Who are the Roys? you might be asking. Well, the Roys are the family in Succession on HBO, and recently Bennett and Lorraina watched two seasons of Succession and loved it.

Didn’t watch it yourself? Well, here’s the trailer for the second season. (Warning: There is some adult language in this clip)

And then Lorraina suggested, “Why don’t we do a bad Photoshop job with us in Succession?” So, that’s what we did.

The story of Succession is about family–albeit a dysfunctionally tyrannical family full despicable people who lust after power and money. But, it’s a family.

For you font purists out there, yes, we did use the the Succession font, Sackers Gothic.

So, we hope you and your family had a wonderful holiday. And, no matter what, we can all be grateful that we are not in the Roy family.
